BTCCSquare news:

Grab and StraitsX have inked a memorandum of understanding to develop Web3-enabled payment infrastructure across Asia. The collaboration aims to integrate digital asset wallets and stablecoin settlement into everyday transactions, potentially transforming regional commerce.

The initiative will focus on two Core components: a Web3-connected wallet within the Grab app and a stablecoin-based payment network. StraitsX will provide technical expertise for wallet development, enabling merchants to accept stablecoin payments through smart contract-powered clearing and settlement.

Pending regulatory approval, Grab users may soon transact with StraitsX-issued stablecoins like XSGD and XUSD, bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets. "This partnership combines Grab's massive user base with StraitsX's proven stablecoin infrastructure," said a company representative, envisioning a faster, cheaper, and more inclusive financial network.
